Is there any way to find a replacement for green glue? I live ouside US and it is expensive for me to buy the green glue. Would it be better than adding more mass to my walls?
Thank you

I think I read that another 5/8 inch layer of mass is equivalent to using greenglue.
If no one corrects me, it is true.
If I am corrected, it is still true, they are just jealous ! |

Close but no cigar.........
A layer of green glue with 2 layers of drywall is akin to 4 layers of drywall.............
The mass will get the job done as well - and will not cost as much as importing the green glue.

You can get bituminous materials that can be used in the drywall.. search for brands such as Texsa or Danosa in your country. |
