Hello!
I have a band coming down from the Scottish highlands this October, and we have decided to record in the hills. I have done so before at a remote camping site, and it is an experience!
Now, this is a world music quatret, and will be recording live. We have tablas, cittern, violing and bagpipes.
My last album with these guys was again at my small place, which does not have iso booths, so the pipes were a problem, we got by well, but i would really prefer less bleed from the pipes.
I was wanting to ask for the best solution, non iso booth, to this problem. Suggestions of creating a working baffle perhaps.. Or does something like this work well ? :

I have the home recording studio construction book with me, and will also look into that for tips.
Thanks a super ton!
Cheers!

That solution is to capture less reverberation on the mics, not really to soundproof instruments. |

Yes... That is the construction i want tips on...
I was thinking basic wodden frames with rigid fibrewool as the main body. We do not get acoustic foam around here. So it has to be Fibreglass.
The SM Pro audio link is one product available.
Reverberation would not be a roblem with this session.
Cheers!
