Here is a jazz tune that was recorded for some friends of mine about 3 years ago. I did not do the recording, I just got the .wav files from them to play with. I would be interested in any comments you might have on the mixing.

Nice playing!
If it was me I would tame down a tad of the high end on the piano, to mix better with the mellow tones of the other instruments, (or brighten the bass and sax up a tiny bit) and maybe try to put the piano in the center of the stereo field and have the other instruments left and right.
You could also find an old "scratchy record" loop to put in behind the track and give it that old 30's era sound  |
