Hi Everybody,
I'm a drummer, and you used to have my own recording studio...The things is following..I would like to optimize my drums tracking room. I attached a pic of the room. I will be very happy about advices for acoustic treatment (ceiling with absorber or diffusor ? which wall with what...?) to become a very bright and open sound. Perhaps can someone even tell me where he thinks the drums can sounds the best (in this room, from the reflections)...Anyway any advices will be a step forward.
Thanks to everyone who 'll help on my way.
Friendly Sébastien

That's the one. Particular point would be your location in your profile.
Also, don't double post. One forum at a time please.
No, I'm not a moderator. I'm just keen to get the ball rolling and learn what can be done in this situation. |

You're excused, I think.
Just to clarify, that room is a triangle shape, probably in the corner of a larger room, with a window in the wall overlooking what I guess is a control room.
Is the window full height or just a small one halfway up the wall, or? |

Thanks for your answers...i don't know if a decagon is the right thing for drums tracking room but the idea that i've got is the following.
Behind the drums some absorbers, and the rest of room treated with some diffusors. The only thing where i have no idea is with the ceiling...How should i treat the ceiling ?? Dead or wood reflectors ??
Thanks for your time and advices
