I have a small project studio and am looking for an inexpensive graphic equalizer for guitar, vocals, drum machine, bass, etc. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

Greggc,
I can't help you with your question but i would suggest that you throw a dollar figure out so that those who ARE in the know can know what you mean when you say 'inexpensive'... it's a subjective term.
Give us the most you are willing to pay (and then expect to pay about twice that )
cheers,

GC | Greg,
My advice is to get a parametric EQ for recording applications. Graphics are intended for PA and sound reinforcement work, not for recording. The reason for this is the "ripple effect" displayed by graphics when the faders are pulled to their extreme settings (full cut or boost on any band) .. also graphics, depending on their filter topology, can have a different "Q" or bandwidth at different settings..
PMI has the new Toft ATC 2 mic pre amp and equalizer which is quite affordable.. I would look into that.

I'd recommend the Audioarts 4200 dual channel parametric eq. They sound very nice and can be had quite cheaply on eBay. In fact, there's two out there now. Hmmmm, maybe I oughta .... |

The only graphic EQ that I like for recording is an API 560. It's affordable, but it's not exactly cheap. |

GC | As far as decent, inexpensive eqs go, try Rane products. Their PE-17 is a rather quiet and honest sounding parametric. |
