Hi all, I have scraped together enough money to buy a real good compressor -
I cant decide between the distressor or the cranesong trakker. I know both of these units do that emulating thing where it can sound like tube/transparent etc... problem is I can only afford one of them so for those who used both what do you guys think? I'm not really in the position to get both in to try as the dealers dont stock em... Any votes anyone??? Its one of those things where you only appreciate a bit of gear after having owned/used one for a while so thats why I'm drawing on the experience of you guys who use it day to day!
Sorry for the long post - thanks in advance! |

You Should call Fletcher at Mercenary, If you have a credit card with a large enough limit, Ill bet he'd send you both let you check em out keep what you like and send the other back....... I have used the Distressor alot.. it is amazing but I will be checking out the trakker here pretty quick... let us know what you get. |

I am a big fan of both of those compressors, but for my uses, I find the Trakker to be a bit more versatile. The Distressor does its thing very well, and it comes in handy, but I've had more uses for the Trakker. |
