Well, I don't have the FIRST Edition, but my copy is 20 years old, (and I bought it new...)

...I finally had to rent a storage space for all those damn boxes...
About 3 years ago the place was broken into...the crooks thought they hit a goldmine with all those exotic expensive electronic brand names on the boxes...of course they were all empty, 'cause the gear is at the studio...
I hope they were REALLY PISSED OFF...and they sure made a hell of a mess...cops never did find them...and yeah, I got a new lock...

Hi Golli!
All though Woram's Book is a fine recording handbook and covers the fundimentals still practiced today, it (for me) was one of the few available at the time. Now there are handbooks that cover the latest in recording technique.
You can select your "Bible" for the recording art's from here.

Thanks.
I allready have the Art of mixing, the Mixing engineers handbook, Pro Tools 5.1 and Producing in the home studio by David Franz. So maybe in a way John Woram is obsolete, and I should continue to go for the newer books, Behind the glass etc.etc. |

You know you are an a Equipment Junkie when...
You suggest to your daughter that for her birthday you upgrade her computer. You then buy yourself a new motherboard/processor/hard drives for your DAW and install your old hardware in her computer! Sad but true |

You know you're an equipment junkie when:
You spend an hour in a store Trying to buy something new, and you have to tell the salesman repeatedly "Yeah I have one of those". He also anwers all of your questions by saying "I don't know", "We don't carry that", or "what would you use THAT for?"
You know you're an equipment junkie when: You have to find a new store every six months. |
