Earl Foote from Houston downloaded the mp3 and added pedal steel, also tamed the fill guitar some.
I think he restored some of the vibe you were talking about.
When you get a chance check it out and tell me what you think. Made My Bed with pedal steel
Thanks,
Mark |

Listening now..very cool!!
All I am hearing is the 5K range needs bringing down some, so I can "crank it" without any pain. The Steel is in the pocket at the solo area, a shade up more than I like during verses..but man that dude can PICK! I will tweak on it some. It will be interesting to see what happens to the pedal steel when I do some M-S (mid side) toying.
It is laying pretty good. You may to confirm everything on your 2bus side is set "flat" to your speakers. Crank it to as loud as you can comfortable..and see what frequencies start to get annoying. The turn it down to whisper soft level, see what sticks out, then turn the volume to a good comfortable level..not loud..not quiet..75dB or so..conversation level, and go into the next room and see what you hear. Make notes on all of this and average it out.
Cool! |

Ok! I did about 30 mins of tweaking. Eq, got rid of the DC offset, I had to eq each channel separately, introduced some M-S tastefully, I also used a Native Reverb on the entire track.
I brought the highs up, reduced some of the pain. Had to add some bottom so the the loud parts of the song were not thin..had to trim bottom from the top of the cut to make up for it..so it would not be too boomy.
Ck out this vibe..I pulled the stops out quite a bit. Coming in your email! |

Email of MP3 will be in your mailbox, 10 mins from this min.
I juiced it more than usual..but i wanted to see what happens with that much "juice" behind the track..I actually could have juiced it even more..but I think it is overjuiced a tad now. |

Bill,
VIBE CITY! You have got the touch, man. This sounds fantastic, thanks very much for your time and expertise.
Between your tweaking and Earl's great steel playing, it's really come alive.
Thank you sir,
Mark |
