What an album!
Your singing will embarass Pal WAAKTAAR. You sure he did not take vocal lessons from you? (Ah HA!)
Track 6 has me in tears.
I hear the possibilities on my end.
Track order could be changed...?? I hear a different presentation in the track order.
You are a great talent!
Remember "living a boys' adventure tale" by Ah ha! in the 80's? Still one of my favorite vibes.
I use to do well singing those octaves and have been practicing getting back to them. I did a vocal exercise today and yielded a solid 3.4 octaves..but the days of 4.1 are gone I am sure.
Your vocal talent, the flute work , arrangements, and the captures are impeccable.
I play Trombone quite well, bass guitar (acoustic too), and several woodwinds. I love playing the bassoon, and contra bassoon. I am not great at those..but my ex wife was world class on the double reeds and even did a stint with the Vienna Orchestra. It was a lovly marriage..but her parents micromanaged us to point of separation. Perhaps we both will share again later. (Louann) I did send her your music to listen to and she was so happy to hear it. She is even scoring some ideas for us (confidentually) with cellos and tubas in sustain.
I would dearly like to take these compositions to full Orchestral level with you singing live.
I am dreaming of it.
Not trying to blow smoke up your pants...but I really love your style on tracks 3,4,5,6. I will absorb the other tracks as time goes on. Live accordian needs to be excersized more In my humble thoughts.
Just a though..but anything that can be dreamed of can be done.
Your permission first Sir..of Course.
Attila, I use to work with many serious producers. You are the light back to those experiences..as I consider you a serious producer. A shade more "pad clicks" on the Flute and the air across the blowhole is always appreciated.
Really nice Man! |

Thanks for the good critique on the CD. It's my life's purpose to move people with my music, now I can see that I'm on the right way!
I take 45 min vocal exercises every day. I love it.
It makes me confident also when I'm out and play at parties.
Bill, how could we work together? You live in USA and I here in Denmark. Would you like to record a few songs from scratch? Who will play it?

With the internet, we could interact a few tunes.
The downside is I am not on a high speed link so the MP3 would be the limiting factor.
I found this device:
www.dbpoweramp.com
It converts formats quite well. I take the MP3 and convert it to wav. Next I look for the anomilies in the MP3 trasfer and repair them. When I convert back to MP3 using this device, I do it in varible bit rate centered around 256 and the fidelity is closer to an actual CD that way. The device is a free download as well.
I am enjoying your music and have worked on some of the tunes for consistancy in the mastering. Once I complete everything, I will mail you a CD and you can check it against your master.
With the internet, so many things are possible!
Cheers!

Hi Bill
Many thanks for signing my guest book. I'm really proud of it. Looking forward to hear
the mastered cd.
I'm on my way to take a little holiday with my daughter in a Camp 50km north here from.
She will try to tame a windsurf! She is 13 years.

Attila, enjoy the nice break (vacation) with your daughter and have a splended time! I wish I would have learned to windsurf (it is never too late) as I have grown up and now live in prime areas for it. One of my old pals "Russell" was a very good surfer (professional) and he at least got me on the stick for a few years. I think he even still has my 11.2FT longboard which I enjoyed from time to time hanging 10. Those were the days my friend!
I picked up the A-ha lifelines album to see how their recordings are doing since you are not only in that league...but a much more articulate singer IMO and checking out the vibe. Their productions are splended but the mastering could have been more consistant at times. Their is some really good work there, you have an advantage though...2 of them for certain. Actually I can count 9 if you want to include other factors such as your splended flute work and vibe. The piano work is great. When I worked with Wilson Turbinton In New Orleans (Willie Tee, Jazz pianoist) I ran a huge facility on the 25th floor of canal place. We had an immaculent studio. We would do some very serious productions together and your "works" reminds me of those times. Keep it up. I have found a nice solice with the sound I am getting from the Cd , just some EQ matters and enhancing certain dynamics around the vibe in others. A low level bassoon and cello on "when I was a Young Boy" has been dubbed in for feel. Just for us..actually the way it is, fine for me. I just wanted you to hear some abstract harmonics in places for communication purposes. You should be very proud of your work and I can only imagine how many other vibes you will have and other great works. Since I have moderated the critique section, Mark Gordon has some nice work, and too many here to comment on each in this post but this is a great avenue! I am happy to be aquainted with your life, your music, and your vibe. I thank you!
I thank all that take the time to interact!
