Thanks Bill for the review on Breath...wil update that one with less highs from 1:30 onward. This one is close minus midi pad backgrounds. Let me know what you think thus far of the mix.

My apologies to all, may have jumped the gun on this post as I noticed some distortion in the vocals and wrong and setting on my drum verb plugin. (need to get this houston mixer working already) Still would appreciate any comments though if anyone has the time...I am particularly pleased with the vocal layering for the break near the end of the song. |

Nice 12 string work!
Watch the sibilance on the ssssss.(vox)
Nice quiet background!
Great harmony licks.
You could include more bass response on the acoustic to give more "wood" sound...gutsy type. On left channel..especially important when the track is up in the mix.
Nice harmony again (listening and typing real time)
Nice cymbles....=but watch the sustained highs there, to not cover the phrasing of you voice.
Good job.
Some tweaking the high frequency response in places (up some/down some) for balance..and it is IN!
Make it less gloomy..I was falling asleep. Make it kick in the message...and smile during the vox to give a freshness. No matter the message, make it live.
Cool? |
