Hello folks. I have two questions re: Protools LE software.
1. When I double click on a seesion icon [mac G4] It will come uup with an error message saying unable to load DAW deck. This app loads ok if i just double click on the protools icon and then opn session from there. Any ideas ?
2. When i am recording or playing back audio, how do I get the screen to scroll along as it plays. I'd like to see where the curser is without having to manually chase it.
Justin White |

All of the scroll options can be accessed under the operations menu.
It’s also not recommended that you open sessions by clicking on thier icons directly. Always launch the app first, THEN navigate to your session from within LE.
The DAE Deck error usually indicates that the Digi PCI card may need to be reseated.
dk |

I would try trashing your LE prefs as well as your DAE prefs and then try launching it again..how much memory do you have in your system too?

Thanks for the replies.. I have 576 mb of RAM in total. The largest unused block is 496.8 mb
I'll try both resetting the PCI card and resetting the preferences in the DAE deck and LE.
I have tried playing around with the scroll options in the operation menu this doesn't seem to work. I read on the protools site that the diplay size in the edit screen affects the scrolling. Could this be it ?
Justin |
