Look into a compressed fiberglass product. Cheaper and more efficient absorbsion.

Don't have a source on your side of town (Portugal), sorry.

I just think that "foam" products are a bit pricey for what they actully do.

i really think the differences aren't all that much to justify such price but i have to see how i'll work with it! i want to be able to record drums and so on on my room (aka home studio) so i think i need a bit of acoustic treatment!

inLoco: I will have our International Sales Manager post a reply here to your original request.

Chris: I would ask that you tastefully edit your posts. This is an Auralex forum. Disrespecting Auralex products here is not very cool. You are completely entitled to your opinion, but calling Auralex products a "rip-off" is not what this forum is about. Blatantly promoting the products of direct competitors is also quite undesirable. I will give you a few hours to remove/edit/etc. I don't like censorship or being some sort of "forum nazi," but I will edit your posts if need be. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Whoops, no harm meant.

Let me try to clear this up.
There are so many Auralex knock-offs out there that are being sold as direct replacements. If you do an Ebay search, you will find very low-grade, low-density foam products that make un-substantiated claims in order to appear as good as your product.

I have seen some companies selling eggcrate "bedding" and just tack on bogus specs about sound absorbsion, when in reality they should be talking about urine absorbsion.

I have Auralex in my studio and have had it for over 15 years with no sign of degradation.

So sorry for the slight, I will think before typing in the future.

Chris

InLoco,

Thanks very much for your interest in Auralex. We have an excellent distributor who serves Spain and Portugal and it is likely that there is a dealer near you.
