Simultaneously playing audio backtrack and stage video...

This is the deal... ; I'm playing a concert with my band the 03 dec.
We use preprogrammed sounds, synths and drums etc. from a computer when we play live. This time we have also made a video which we wanna match and sync with the different sequences of the songs live.
which software application can do all that for us ?

We need a video signal coming out, and we need Left and Right audio output and a third audio track routed out to an exsternal preamp for clicktrack (So that the click doesnt blow out from the stage... )
You get it ?

Please ask if you want me to exsplain further...

Most of the DAWs can do this.
Some video editors may do this.

... and some Multimedia SW might get there.
but the key is having Multiple I/O for audio and the video output
... some of the Flash and Director styled packages don't.

A DVD player may even do what you want here.
Use the surround sound outputs as if it were 5 individual channels.
You will need to be able to prepare your own DVD's.

I had to figure out how to do this for a tour my band did. We initially wanted to have a stereo track and a click synced to 45 minutes of video. I eventually changed it to a mono signal and a click. Most cllubs we played didn't have enough channels to accomdate the band and my feeds. Usually my stuff would get cut, so going to a mono feed was best. Plus most PA's I came across were mono PA's.
Anyways, I tried running it out of a DAW and I tried out of Final Cut Pro but both failed. For the first few shows I was getting dropped frames and freezes. Eventually I decided to make a 45 minute QuickTime containing the video and audio files. I compressed it using Sorenson Video, as it was run from a projector across the bar and most lighting guys didn't get the fact that the lights should be subtle and low, the compression was barely noticeable. It ran perfect for the tour (37 shows) and has been running perfectly for about a year.

Main and Cue
does make life so much easier

Yeah, .... right rpfive, but i do need a third audio track for the click?
