I shoot very little video. I use 4 cameras, Videonics MX-1 switcher to DVD.
I have been using 4 small B&W 5" TV's ( composite to RF ) to get a better view of each of the 4 cameras. The MX-1 has the view of the 4 cameras, but is small and is not smooth. I would like to replace the 4 B&W TV's with small LCD type monitors. I am not concerned with the quality. I have seen extension monitors for DVD players that simply plug in to a DVD player. Does anyone know where to purchase these and if they will work with composite video ? |

Do you mean something like this:
http://www.networktechinc.com/rackmount-4lcd.html
or something more orientated towards home users. In car LCD monitors designed to work with DVD players may also be worth looking at. |

Try Markertek in New York. You can get a 19 inch rack panel with 4 LCD color monitors.

Hmm that might be a good idea. I'll have to do some research. Radio shaak has a portable DVD player with 2 video screens at a good price. I wonder if I might be able to purchase the video screens seperately. I am wondering how to find out if they would accept composite video, and how they are powered. judging by the picture of it, there is one small cord for power and video |

I was just at radio shack and saw a portable DVD player with 2 screens. They do sell the screens seperately, but the connection is a 9 pin din connector. The store manager had no idea if the screens operate off of composite video. He had no schem. I would have no idea of what PS would power them and if composite video would work. Still looking. |
