The well stocked studio...

While I was fixin' a cup-o-joe here a few minutes ago... waitin' on a client to come in for a mix, I saw the Mrs' tea on the counter and this question just popped into my widdle' bwain...

Other than the Black Jack crowd... What should/will a well stocked studio have in the way of beverages, snax, etc, for vocalists to promote GREAT vocal sessions? (Besides great mic's, pre's and a great sounding room) You know, the amenities that make it a joy to go into a studio to get some serious work done.

Tea, Softdrinks, fruit juice and the like are too general. I'm really looking to get a bit more specific, maybe even brandnames... Earl Gray, Green Tea, Sta-Puff, Oreo, Self controlled lighting, music stands, etc... (I'd rather NOT lay in supplies of items that no one will like, or that would unknowingly rust up the ol' pipes, or totally ruin a good session vibe.)

I'm going to work hard to make the studio a Songwriter, KB, Vocal and Percussion heaven. So, the list need not be limited to food and beverages. (We percussionists are easy... beer, bathroom and a big fluffy rug in the corner.)

Apple juice. It's great for vocalists with too much saliva. It helps keep that lip smacking sound and mewing to a minimum. But I guess it's more for voice over type stuff.

Warm salt water. Great for a gargle.

You should have:

Beverages:
Caffinated - COKE
non-caffinated - water
sugared - COKE
non-sugared - water
cold - COKE
non-cold - hot chocolate, tea, coffee?
carbonated - COKE -- though not recommended for a singer
non-carbonated - Kool Aid! or water
Oh and apple juice.

Eats:
Jello. It leaves no crumbs.
Fruits. I dig citrus.
My place is know for Ice Cream Sandwiches. If someone comes over and I ain't got none, I get the third degree.
Costco sized bucket of hard pretzels. Cheap and satisfies.

well, im not basing these suggestions on anything musically, but while at lunch at school, i get to see what alot of people seem to like to drink and eat. flavored water is really popular at my school. anykind really, but since my school sells the flavorsplash by aquafina, that is what you see most of. i like it the best too. lipton green tea with citrus is good too. lots of people like snapple, especially the iced tea. BUT, if you live anywhere near PA, especially the Lancaster, harrisburg area, you gotta get Turkey Hill Iced tea. but if someone gets a sore throat from yelling or something, i always like to drink a little milk. it like leaves a little coating of milk on your throat and soothes it. i would say stay away from peanuts or anything peanut buttery.
