hello guys!
if you have to sing accapella (without music) , what type of song should you choose? slow, fast....etc...?????
one more question, why do the musicians want new singers to perform accapella? to listen to the singers' voice quality and vocal techniques?
if so, should i choose a song that is slow with great vocal preformance??
this is so improtant, if you guys have experience regarding this topic, please give me advices and ideas.
many thanks in advance.

Hi.
Are you saying they want you to audition for them, and ask you perform without any backing music ?
If that's the case, they just want to hear your voice!
If you can keep the tempo, sing in tune, etc.
I suggest you sing some ballad. Maybe a 12/8 love song.
ciao, Andrea

yea, Kobyn. I have to sing accapella in an audition for the judges to listen to this upcoming Sunday. I guess you're right, ballads are always good.
Thanks for the advice...and wish me luck

the Star spangled banner seems to be the song most performed acapella- in all the sporting events here in the ol' USA
