I'm needing to know possible plugin combinations and settings used in cleaning up vocals, what I'm using is ok, but it's not CD or Radio ready..
I'm using Pro Tools 7 and Nuendo so I can use VST and RTAS.. |

Re read your post.
You are asking the impossible. Without hearing what you are hearing and without knowing what you are trying to accomplish and what the tracks currently sound like it is an impossible question to answer. The question is way too broad. It is like asking a drummer which sticks and heads combination would sound better on material that he has never played. I think you get my drift.
Do some research here in this forum using the SEARCH function. This type of question has been asked and answered numerous times. If after doing your home work you have some specific questions I am sure someone will be happy to help you. |

Yeah, so I'm not trying to come off as a jerk, but...
Someone with a $2000 software title doesn't usually ask a question like that. Before they invest in a product like that, they usually know what they're doing.
My advice - send your tracks to a professional.
That professional (an ME) can tell you what's wrong with them and what it is they did to fix them. (If it's a reputable ME - if it's not, they'll likely tell you a bunch of BS or tell you that it's a "secret" process.)
Tom's right though - that is such an open ended question, there is no possible answer.
What clothes should I wear today??

Gtrae you posted this question in 5 forums. One is enough. Choose only one forum for questions.

Sorry - again I'm coming off as a dick, but MDz - this is a forum. If you have ideas, please, by all means share them with the public. Otherwise, we'll have to assume that you are soliciting business on this wonderful free service here without actually paying to advertise.
Thanks!

He seems to be infamous for that here. And with only four posts, that's saying something. |

yea i can see where everyone is coming from.. maybe he wants a basic answer?!
You can do the following depending on your setup..
A bit hiss reduction, de-esser, de plop, eq, reverb, delay and the list goes on i guess.. What kind of mic are u using?
Jus remember every song maybe different and different techniquees need to be applied.. u need to have a very good set of monitors too..
your ears are the biggest tools.. |

This guy sounds illegit, but maybe just a noob? Probably not
Also, we should all be looking for business, but only by helping and learning! If MDx wants somebody to email him and somebody gives him money for services - isnt that what America is all about? I doubt it will happen, but...ha!!!
I'll do my thing for free, cause I am a Buddhist Monk...
but the bling buys my bread too!
Still, I highly doubt MDx is ever gonna see a red cent (no offense MDx, but your approach is a little silly), so why worry. Let him show who he is, so we know.
Peace,
Nate |
