keep in mind the tracks are will flow semlesly into eachother. so if a weird part bothers you its suppose to be there to move into another part.

For the record I play many types of music. my main band (Malphrenia) is pure metal. I play blues and jazz (generaly just when I'm jamin', though i do want to make a "drunken blues" album one day). I play hand drums and western kits too.

themortaldeity was a somewhat interesting expression of more placid ethereal recording experimentations. I think you could have done something about the excessive background noise on the bongos?

I like that bell like effect that panned from left to right and back again. Then back to the bongos. After that, it sounds like the same vacuum cleaner at the end of the piece, that begins the Fatboy Slim - Weapon Of Choice music video with Christopher Walken but it might also be running water as it made me want to go to the bathroom after drinking that beer while I was listening to your composition.

I liked the picture of the pope with the guns for your second song which by the way, would not play so I have nothing stupid to add?

Could I have a couple of extra towels when you're done vacuuming the studio?

well, I did say that it is going to be a part of a larger project. the noise is going to lead into a hand drum/musical song. i do understand your point of view though. I would like to hear what you think about the solo from a more "musician" point of veiw. Like I said, this isnt my band. (I supose I didnt say this part before but) this whole "The Mortal Diety" thing is more of an excuse to play fancy leads than any thing.

The bongo thing is called "I dont have access to the drums neccessary to preform what i want to do, so insted i put an echo on a pair of poorly tooned tablas. sorry remy, I cant afford equipment to your standard. If you want to make a difference please contact me and make a donation Smile

On a scond note, I feel that some times music must be taken out of the realm of "did they have production that I like" vs. "what is being played". I highly doubt, and maybe I'm wrong, That you remy (I dont mean this in any insulting way so dont think that I am trying to tell YOU, a profesional whats what) highly doubt that you can play any instrument near to the compacity that I can. Remember that Joe Satriani was wrote off as a fool with fools gold, if you know what I mean.

Further more, thank you for opinion (I wish that you could have heard the second track, but it is out of my control). With your help I will show the world what I have accopmplished.

You are asking for an opinion on a half painted painting. So I am not quite clear on what you are asking for? When you said it was part of a bigger project, you made it appear that this was perhaps a completed "song" that would be added to other completed "songs" to create a full CD album? Not just a few track's you have recorded for a song not yet finished. The solo? There was a solo? Well I guess it just did not leave much of an impression on me? I think I liked the bongos better? I really found the background "buzz" behind the quiet bongo part quite distracting. What more can I say?

Back to the drawing board

True, True. it is a completed track that will sit in between other tracks. Also it is a 12-13 inch djimbe with a goat skin head, not a bongo and yes the noise is distracting, exactly what it is suppose to be. I dont know what to comment about the solo, how could it not impress you? I'm picking every note i play over several strings and im doing it ACCURATELY.

If you're looking for praise, try myspace.
You asked for opinions, that's what you got... and I agree with Remy for the most part.

How does that make the solo good? I think most people are not really interested how many notes you can play in a solo, they just want the solo to be good.

So..what does "compacity" mean?
Mindless, souless wanking?

soloes require both, but what i meant was that even if you dont particularly like the solo, it can be shown repect for skill alone. A person could say that it didnt move them but that doesnt mean there isnt talent there. remy said "what solo". to me it sounds insulting of my skills, not like a matter of taste.

and if you actually sat through all 3 tracks I dont think you would call it mindless soulless wanking. each solo has a specific theme to fit the track (or so i tried to accomplish, but apparently you guys do not agree with me on this particular subjct).
