I am building some clouds out of OC703 covered in canvas. Some friends of mine are really great painters and we're getting together sometime soon to paint the canvas side.
After thinking about this for a while I was wondering what effect, if at all, the paint will have acoustically.
Thanks ahead of time for any responses and thanks Rod for my earlier post. |

Paint Schmaint!
Die the canvas the color you want.
100% guess here but I would think that paing would be more reflective than absorbent. |

Paint as a reflector was more what I was thinking, but I didn't know for sure. I think dying will be the best solution. |

Funny you should say that I was actually considering it for a few minutes, then decided it wouldn't be the best thing. I did think of something a little more far out though. I'm going to dye the cotton/canvas a dark hue and attempt to keep it uniform among all the panels. Then, some friends and I are going to use bleach pens to make designs on them. If it's done right I think it could look really cool.
