How much does an acoustic recordings quality and tone depend on the room, such as what kind of sound padding you have on the walls or how much stuff is in the room for sound to bounce off of. Just wondering what works best for everyone. |

The quality of acoustic recordings are directly related to the qualities of the room, unless everything is miked really close. I'll go so far as to say the quality of the room matters more than anything else, including which microphones and preamps etc you use.

Well, surely the quality of the talent is MOST important. |

I would agree with that, but if you are in a crappy room then the talent will have a crappy quality recording.
It all runs hand in hand with each other.
