DUDE!!!
Three identical posts in 3 different forums!
You're lucky you're not toast already for the shit you pulled in your topic asking for help from the "ELITE PROS."
One topic at most - ever. Not 3 identical ones.
BTW - if you're looking to buy that stuff you might want to check EBay or other Internet sources - that's where all of the ELITE PROS buy their gear. |

You aren't going to find a bargain 1073, and if you did find one I'd doubt it was in a condition that was worth the money.
Look up Vintage King Audio and give them a buzz. |

Jeremy,
As long as we're rehashing, let's not forget:
Mastermine said-

I guess that deal fell through, much like the awesome looking Tascam? |

I deleted one of his 3. I can't delete the other one. And although I could delete this one, numerous folks have replied so I won't. I guess he hasn't checked eBay lately? Of course I don't know too many folks that part with their 1176's? I won't.
At least, he doesn't want a Beringer!

I deleted my reply on the other one, so you should be able to delete the rest of it now... |

Well...at least he provided his e-mail address.
I do have a script which will pound his ass with a DoS attack the likes of which he's yet to have seen.
I just wonder if this tmail address is POP or web-based only. I'd hate to bring the whole damn thing down... |

Spoken like a true Italian Jeremy! But I am slightly impressed that he has at least learned what the really good stuff is and wants it. He is certainly eager and enthusiastic. That's passion. An ingredient very important to our industry. I don't much like deleting anyone's posts but when they hit that submit button too many times, I'll weed things out where I can. Has anybody found any other weed?

Mastemine,
Send me a check for 5k, it's a deal. I'll be sure to send one of my 100 1073 Preamps, as I know you are in desperate need of it. You've made 3 or more weird posts about a Neve 1073 and the 1176... Have you ever really heard either of these units, or are you just playing games?..... weird, but kind of fun!! |

Well, I tried to get someone here to e-mail him and jerk him around a little. I can't, my e-mail address that shows up would give it away as a hoax. I still think that he's a TROLL!!! |

A bit off Topic here, but what does the phrase TROLL refer too? |

TROLL, as in fishing for information.
TROLL, as in stupid little character selling vacations
TROLL, as in ugly guy I'd never consider dating
You'll never roam alone

Hey Remy in your opinion what is the closest out board pre to a Neve 1073.
Is it the Great River, Portico, Vintech or something else. Just curious what your opinion is. |

Ok, I'm not Remy but I thought I'd answer your question anyway.
The absolute closest to a real original vintage (in pristine condition) Neve 1073 is the Brent Averill 1073. It's virtually indistinguishable from the original in sound, look and feel. They even use the same transformers (St. Ives) and knobs.
For a subjectively close to a Neve 1073 with added eq points, I've got a brand new pair of Chandler LTD-1's for sale right now (new in the box with full warranty). These have a mod on the DI and are the only two in existence with this mod (mod was performed at chandler by their techs). PM if your interested. |
