Some things that came to me, uncensored, it is what it is just my thought process:

Militant drum pattern
Little picture girl is in control
The "narrator" wants to satisfy the subject (little picture girl).

It reads like a person dreaming of an encounter with a picture in a magazine

Same sex arrangement

What reads like the last verse turns out to be the bridge. In this event the lyric is unfinished and needs to be more focused to continue to a conclusion, if this is possible or even required.

The actual lyrical content ends at around 2:14ish.
The musical part continues on until 3:43.

As a simple example, not necessarily a last verse but a means to fill this void up:

Little picture girl
Shooting stars need eyes to see
Little picture girl
On your wind my sails unfurl
Little picture girl
Release me from me
Little picture girl
Release me from me
Little picture girl...

I think this is a good piece of work but in my ears it is unfinished or is too long musically. But I have been programmed by am/fm radio so take it with a grain of salt.

thanks space...yeah- its kinda unorthodox (kinda on purpose or perhaps as an excuse.) i was thinking of vox for the end in the abbreviated style you have suggested. i use cubase- so moving parts around is total cake. however, i found that the git solo, (actually the line "your way, ahh" was definitely the peak. in fact i was back and forth on adding a another verse ealier (or 1/2 a verse) so that i could really end it on that climax.

hey how long is a pop tune anyway these days? maybe i could get away with halving the ending mucis.
thank you very very much forthe effotrs of your time and your suggestions!!

You can still get away with four minutes...but you cannot waste any space.

Very cool!

A little LF scooped out and it's "stick a fork in it" time.

I really like the stereo interplay, very entertaining.

Point taken about it not being a pop song. Sorry, I'm so used to everything being geared for radio and the monster that eats up creativity pandering to one more advertisement dollar.

It takes a lot to leave me rather speechless......... But I must admit, with a soft spot in my heart for Bob Clearmountain style engineering, you got it Sean. You've got it! The way you play with stereo, the way your vocal sits right where it should. Can you say Tears For Fears? Simple Minds? Seal (Trevor Horn)? I think I said that last time but it's gotten so much better since then.

I know your setup. It's not an SSL 4000. But your engineering chops are just superb with what you have. If Bob Clearmountain doesn't know you? He should. You're stealing his chops.

I just can't think of anything else to say? It's already too good. All of your songs. You need to stop making fools out of all of us! This has to stop.

And I thought I was a crafty aural thief?
