I recorded a song this summer for a friend of mine. I like the song a lot. I think the recording is so so. Let me know what you guys think.

The song is listed as "Polar Bear" but it's actually called "Give Up" by Polar Bear.
Thanks! |

Great playing and the vocals work well. You are at a bit of a disadvantage with the bitrate on myspace. I would like to hear a better version.
I like the tune and the performance! |

Yeah, Myspace sucks. I might upload it to my soundclick site soon. I wish I still had the session file so I could work on it some more. |

Yeah, myspace just doesn't cut it for auditioning recordings. If you really just want to know what people think of the song itself and its composition, that's one thing, but man, I just can't even listen to something like that and believe that it's anything close to what it was intended to sound like.
There's a song on this forum called "Crystal" that the guy has hosted on box.net. I think it's as good of mp3 quality as you're going to get, though I don't know the exact bitrate. |

So, I wanted to say something more than just, "I wish I could hear it outside of Myspace." I listened to the two other bands whose songs you posted and they sound much fatter than the Polar Bear tune.
I like the way you record/mix drums. The snare pops like crazy and the toms sound tight, too. I would like to hear some of the qualities of the other two songs on the Polar Bear song. |

Thanks man. I record the Polar Bear song about 8 months ago. Since then, my recordings have gotten a little better. I'm recording a lot of bands within the next month, so I'll have some more stuff up. |
