I just did a month's worth of gigs at the Festival Of Nations at Dollywood and learned this traditional Bulgarian tune from a guy. I couldn't get it out of my head so I decided to record it in a non-traditional style. I heard this version in my head the first time the guy played it for me.
If anything, bring out the kick drum more. Maybe the snare a wee bit too. That would be the only thing I would change. Placement is good. The lead instrument (idk what it is, not a string player) sounds great. What mic did you use?
