After watching a Timbaland video, some friends and I decided that we could write and record something better than the mundane garbage we had just experienced. (ok to be honest some of it is kind of catchy)
We went downstairs and blew the dust off my Focusrite Saffire and brought out the Rode NT2-A. In ten minutes we came up with some incoherent lyrics, and an hour later we had some pumpin beats programed in Cubase.
For a bunch of half drunken metalheads I think we produced a really fun pop song and I'd be curious to hear some constructive criticism. The entire evening of recording was such a hilarious/awesome time and I think that energy really shines through. This track was just layer after layer of one offs and it makes me smile every time I hear it.
Good times with good friends.

Frank Zappa would be proud. |

So if this is you playing around, don't stop playing around. Your production quality and execution was absolutely superb! In fact, after listening to this song, I just had to have some chocolate milk. I assume that if your girlfriend heard this song, you're single again? Obviously, alcohol was an intrinsic part of this production? I'll be sure to incorporate some in my next production.
Sobering

Maybe I could score a gig producing jingles for milk ads. I'd spend the rest of my days writing bovine inspired poetry on my multi-million dollar Hollywood cattle ranch.
Remy, I like to think of a bottle of whiskey as a nice warm tube plugin.. for my brain. |

I can see how the "get for your love" (or whatever) parts were a parody of timbaland shooting a few words into every song he's ever done. That made me laugh |
