I am looking to purchase of the HD3 system.

Based on the depth of information you have given us, coupled with a link to a site that says come back again in December, the HD3 system doesn't sound like the right choice for you.

Maybe if you told us a little more....

Why did you link to a website with who knows what scripts it's running when you could just link to digidesign? If you're buying used, see and hear it running before you buy. Whether or not it's right for you? That question tells me you haven't done your research. There are so many other options but it depends on you budget and your goals.
