I am trying to move the data from an Alesis HD-24 to my computer so I can upload them into Protools. I am using the Alesis Fireport adapter to move the data to my computer, however I am having problems getting my computer to recognize the hard drive from the HD 24. My computer uses Windows Vista and will not recognize the adapter. I downloaded the patch form the Alesis website that is supposed to work with Vista, and still no luck. Anyone have this same problem? Are there settings on my computer that I might need to change? |

Thanks guys. The HD-24 is not actually in my possesion. It belongs to a friend and I am just using protools to mix with. I even called Alesis and they were not very helpful. In no way rude, but they just covered the basics that I had already covered ( bad cable, etc...). I will check out some of the information you guys listed.
BTW, Great site! |
