I did a search on Google and on the site and came up with nothing, so forgive me if this a double post. I am almost positive I have seen the answer but cannot seem to find it.
Right now my fire wire interface to my computer is using a 6' cable. I am thinking about buying the 1394 max which is 14'. Is this not recommended for audio recording, or is it OK? What types of delay issues am I going to run into?
Any information is helpful.
Thanks. |

This could be it...

(I searched for "cable length" with quotes and chose search for all terms. It's about 7 down.) |

From the offending post:
"I switched from the stock 3 foot cable to an 8 foot for my Firepod and the latency went up by .5"
Isn't BrianaW just the nicest thing?
That's .1 of a millisecond per foot.

Now why can't everyone take it on the chin like LunchBox?
If it weren't for being a moron, I'd have nothing to do here!!! |
