Hi all
Our band started writing new material and I started recording the practices to keep the ideas and practice my recording and mixing chops. I really like the vibe of recording live in a room, it just seems more energetic and natural and I'd like to know if you're hearing issues in the mix that need to be addressed and things that should be addressed when recording
The performance is lack lustre as we're pretty much tanked recording this and we just learned the song as you can hear with my cues. Also the PA is on so we can hear me sing and I won't be doing vox with the real recording. The only overdubs are the who's and the second guitar as our other guitar player wasn't there that night

That was a pleasure to listen to.
Seriously, I hate the music that gets sold today. That shit is where it's at. Messing around _PLAYING_ music.
It sounded like you guys were having fun.

Thanks Greener, yeah we have fun, that's what it should be about right, having fun and getting better. I'm a little concerned with the drum change for the chorus, what do you guys think? |

Add 16th notes on the kick.
Something like 192 of them right through the chorus.
It's not like you can hear it anyways
Edit:
I have no musical knowledge at all, so what I'm thinking about is probably not what I described.
_If_ the chorus is 12 bars of 4/4 then this applies. If it's say 6 bars of 4/4 then it's 8th notes, however if it's not 4/4 then disregard. Let me know what it is and I'll record what I'm talking about |

Thanks Greener, I'm more concerned with the whole beat/groove change there if you know what I mean is it disrupting the groove of the song with the tom thingy in the chorus. I'm not the drummer and I think he'd be pretty po'd if I started to tell him play 192 kicks in the chorus, no actually I'm sure he would be |
