Newbie needing guidance

i am no to audio recording and am currently taking a class using logic 8. at home i have set up Sonar 7PE and got a midi keyboard and a cheap audio interface. i was looking at the list of free plug ins and am wondering if VST works with sonar. also if it does, where do i install the plug in files. (which folder). i plan to record my band for fun, and just mess around with "mastering" our stuff.

Well, I'm yes to audio recording... So there...

I'm also yes to manuals. Though I can't seem to find yours online...

If it supports VSTs, you should be able to change the folder location somewhere.

The default is usually C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\ unless you did something crazy.

I say no to audio to, for several reasons:

Why take a class for Logic and then go home and purchase Sonar7 PE?

Do you know what else is free Free FREE?

The manual for Logic and also for Sonar7!

all this computer recording makes me wasnt to bust out with my tascam 388 tape reel thingy.
theres something that happens when you look at a screen for too long when you make or record music
