Default Bedroom studio need a little advice

Being disabled and really not able to do much other than record some stuff in my bedroom I wanted to get something easy to use yet be able to make a semi pro quality CD.

I was looking at the Yamaha AW2400, would that be a good choice?

I plan on using a Line 6 POD for my guitar with a SOLO610 preamp and for bass, then put down some drum tracks with a Roland finger unit. I also have a RODE mic and an SM58 for vocals.

I have been playing for 40 years, did some recording in the 80's and almost got signed to Alligator records. I do blues, soul and classic rock.

I also had my own small sound reinforcement company and build my own Fender inspired tube amps and guitars. So I'm knowledgeable about certain aspects to sound and music.

Any help would be appericated, thanks.

For a bedroom studio recording it sounds like you have many of the elements already, I tell most people whatever you're the most productive with, stay with that format (You'll want something with a VGA output, hard to stare at a small screen constantly).

Set the room up to access everything quickly so you're not distracted by hooking everything up constantly when you have an idea or working on a part. Maybe a simple patchbay would work for you, once all the gear is connected no more lost time at the back of gear in the rack looking for inputs and outputs.

The only other thing is decent monitors, there are hundreds of threads as to which are the best etc...etc.. do the research and buy something accurate with proven results.

the line 6 pod seems like a good buy for anyone who wants to record guitar. it saves the hassle of record fom an amp but has a better sound than a DI box
