Problem with my bass sounds.

Hi, whenever I play any tunes from my wharfedale monitors the bass is greatly increased when panned hard right or hard left. I'm wondering how them playing together could reduce the bass, and how to prevent this issue, thank you. (I am a bass fanatic)

At first thought , ...are those speakers correctly connected?
On one side plus and minus could be exchanged. This way one is sucking while the other speaker is pushing.
That produces weak bass and phasing problems.
If not, give us more info about the setup.

I think K is on the correct track. It does sound like the wires are crossed on one of the speakers.

I am glad it solved the problem, 'cause 2 other possible faults I could think of would mean bigger trouble and some experience in electronic maintenance.
Or an open window in the 4th floor and some muscle power....
