    Default Mbox 1 Clock Question

Ok here goes I'm wanting to use a better clock source for Mbox and of course the only way to reclock an Mbox is through SPDIF. So, is it possible to send straight word clock into the SPDIF jacks through a BNC to RCA adapter. My only other choices are to send it off for modding or buy a master clock with money I don't want to spend.

No, the signals are electrically different. Besides which, I doubt whether the clock recovered from an S/PDIF stream would be any more stable than the internal Mbox clock. The clocking of Mbox from the S/PDIF input is meant for synchronisation purposes, not clock quality. Even with the Mbox 2 Pro that has a word clock input, you can't use the word clock in if you are also using the S/PDIF input.
