Did you not load the audio off of the tape from the vx2100? If the audio recorder was separate from the video recorder, then your lack of a common clock reference at the shoot caused this problem. One way to rectify this would be to have your computer locked to blackburst, or .1% below the sample rate you are using now (48-->47952 or 44.1-->44.056). If you could play back the video tape and the computer with both devices locked to blackburst, then you may have a good shot at fixing this.
Ultimately, this is one of those problems where it is best to fix it at the source. It's not easy to fix it afterwards.
