Default 4 PIN XLR POWER SUPPLY JACK PIN OUT ON SONY DXC M7 CAMERA

As I collect cameras, I went from the JVC KY-210's to the Ikegami 79 E's, and I just aquired 4 SONY DXC M7 cameras which have the same 4 pin XLR power jack. They all run on 10-17v, but when I plug in the 4 pin plug on the SONY cameras and power up, the iris moves for a second, then the camera circuit breaker blows. this happens on all of the Sony cameras. On the JVC it is marked pin 4 is + and pin 1 is-. Anyone know if the Sony pinout might be reversed?

are you using the power supply that came with the camera or another one? If it's the power supply for that camera something is definitely wrong - usually the manuals can tell you a little bit more abt the wiring - if not it might be worth contacting sony.

I don't have the manuals yet, and I am using a regulated PS that I used with the JVC cameras (which also had a 4 pin XLR)

I've got an old DXC around here somewhere and I've got a cable that goes from 4-pin XLR to a 12v lighter plug. If I can find it, I'll get back to you.
just beneath the surface of the mud, there's more mud here... surprise - CSN

I'm looking for a practical way to connect my JVC-210 to a 12v battery. Because that camera was mentioned in this thread, I was brought here.

Look up the manual, it will tell you. Check your cable to make sure it is wired properly. Make sure your battery and/or power supply are outputting the proper voltage.
