So, I have been using Logic for years, and recently got my wife, who does all of the composition, a huge sample library. This led me away from using as many modulations in logic's array of samples, synths and au plugins. It led me to using the score window. And that led me to Sibelius. I use macprovideo's tutorials on a regular basis, but there was only a version covering version 6. Obviously we were very excited when the new tutorials came out so we could crack the next layer of Sibelius's shell. The videos are going to be released in stages, with two courses available at the moment. The first is a very dense walkthrough of the basic functions of the program. It brings us from the load up to saving the complete song. The second course brings us to the composition of Greensleeves, and the lead sheet that has to be made for it. The videos were easy to follow, and with a couple of rewinds, we had made our own songs, modified them and saved them. The final course of six, is on scoring alongside video in Sibelius. This has us both excited; by the time we finish these courses, we will be set for an new level of scoring. here is an example of one of the videos:

a note to any other sibelius users out there: does anyone know if east west's play sampler works with sibelius 7?
Thanks, this was a great course. I was having trouble finding one on 7![]()
