Music technology books/good online courses

I just bought myself a Firebox (w/Cubase LE) and other stuff to go with it... And I'm interested in a music technology book, either something general or something that is related to Cubase. I plan to go to school for this (im a senior in high school) so I was hoping I can get ahead of the game now and learn and experiment with my equipment.

If anyone has recommended books or perhaps online courses or something, let me know! thanks =D

-Modern Recording Techniques by David Miles Huber & Robert E. Runstein
-The Mixing Engineer's Handbook by Bobbi Owsinski
-The Mastering Engineer's Handbook by Bobby Owsinski
-The Yamaha Sound Reinforcement Handbook by Gary Davis & Ralph Jones
-Principles of Digital Audio by Ken C. Pohlmann
-Behind the Glass by Howard Massey

Those are some of the books that I have bought as a music technology major over the past few years. They are all great books and filled with good material. The Sound reinforcement handbook can get a bit technical, but it's not too bad. The Pohlmann however is heavy stuff, and I have to skip over some parts of it because I don't know anything about calculus.

I agree. The Mixing Engineer's Handbook by Bobbi Owsinski is superb, a must have. Everytime I pick it up I learn something, in fact I just spent a couple hours with it this morning and am now trying out a bunch of the techniques mentioned. 8-)
