    Default CD Baby vs Tunecore

Another cool new feature that all CD Baby artists have the opertunity to opt in to is CD Baby's new Sync Licensing program for getting your musc in movies, TV and YouTube and getting paid for it.

What about the Soundcloud selling plug ins, like music DYI, etc... Anyone familiar with those?
    Experiences, thoughts?

All I have to say is STEER CLEAR of DittoMusic. I know they haven't been mentioned but they're another player who do the same thing basically but in my experience THEY DON'T do the same thing because I paid them 7 WEEKS ago to put my music on iTunes, Spotify, etc. and it hasn't appeared on any of them. I've tried desperately to get in touch with them by live chat and phone to no avail. The only response I got was a couple of weeks ago by email when I mailed explaining how I was getting frustrated and asking what the deal was, and they responded with a perfunctory "something must have gone wrong... we'll let you know what we find out). That was over 2 weeks ago, still haven't heard anything. I asked for a refund 5 days ago... I've gotten no response whatsoever. The trail's gone cold.

STAY AWAY FROM DITTO. Now I'm looking into TuneCore and CD Baby... not happy at having to do this research again.

BandCamp is definitely a nice option with instant access in the format of your choosing, and artists can set their prices and get either 80 or 85% of every sale (85% once you've reached $1000 in sales). I've included the 10% which Paypal claims for themselves in that equation already, so really BandCamp only takes 5-10% for themselves, so it's pretty nice. There's no substitute for having your music on iTunes and other popular music stores for the exposure, but if your fans are checking out your website or whatever then you can direct them to your BandCamp page and get the best deal for all involved.
