MORE PROJECT INFORMATION HERE!
Project Name: The Journey of Iesir
Hello everyone! I'm the project manager of a Point and Click adventure called The Journey of Iesir, it's a voluntary project that has been in production over the last 3 years.
As you can read in the project information link above, this is a demo and our hopes are that we will be able to show the potential of the project.
We are more or less done with the demo and have started the testing-phase, but there is one thing that is lacking - you guessed it: Proper sound effects.
We are looking for someone to join our team, someone who are interesting in creating/mixing sound effects for games, you are probably already a fan of adventure games like Monkey Island. If you like Discworld and comedy you are in for a treat!
The game build is already ready, you can play the demo from start to finish with all the proper graphics and animation - what's left is adding sound effects where it's needed. So you will be instantly rewarded by experience your sound in game, no need to wait several months for other production members to catch up. Your responsibilities will be anything sound related, both creating, editing, mixing. You will be a part of the team, and of course offered to a position on the project after the demo stage, and there will be opportunities to affect the design of the game.
As with everybody else in the team there is no compensation involved at this point(and might never be), you will however have something you can be proud of, I believe we have an amazing high production value game by people who are creating a game they would enjoy playing themselves, and be proud.. If you want to make any kind of deal, supposing you are not interesting in being a part of the team after the demo, like permission to video capture some parts with you sound in, let me know!
Anyone interested can contact me: daniel@dreamcauldron.com - please include your portfolio to showcase your skills that would be relevant. Please do understand that this is a serious project and will require that you are active and motivated. If you know that you won't have time for this project, please do not seek the position. There is a possibility that the game will go commercial, so it will require that you are a serious candidate. However no payment or promises can be made at this stage.
Please also note that this project has been worked on for some time already - you will not be jumping aboard a project that is in its infancy. We simply need extra help at this stage to take what we already have to the next level.
