please reply me back.....
typically my building is constructed by 9" brick wall which is plastered both side, my tracking rooms are sealed off by mineral wool insulation. I have a passage in which the doors of tracking rooms are open, i want to treat this corridor like a sound lock, what i have initially thought to put mineral wool and covered with drywall.
regards

I have had success with 1 3/4" solid core doors installed so the door stop is perfect all around the door. I then carefully sealed around the jamb taking care not to stuff material so that it warpes the jamb. Then the trim and finish is applied. Commercial, well adjusted door closers, pull/push & kick plates are a must. The closer should be adjusted to keep pressure against the stop, and to close quietly. I used one door at each end of the lock, and determined the swing by the most efficiant flow of traffic.
