Default Closet Vocal Booth-check out the video

I'm looking to turn this closet into a vocal booth and use it to record small sound effects/foley when needed. I'm wondering what appraoch you guys would take to treat this room. FYI, for the most part I'm in a quiet area, so external noise levels are low. And when I need to record I can let the dog outside. Mainly just concerned about getting a decent sound out of the room. Here's the link to the video.

    Thanks in advance guys!

    Default Closet Case

Hey I'm just joe-shmoo, so take my two pasos with a grain of sodium (salt).
I tried using my closet, tried padding it etc. I didn't have much luck with my vocal recordings, just couldn't seem to get it right. But I did have better luck recording my guitar amp in the closest, I set my amp on a chair, sm57beat up to the grill and drapped a heavy blanket over it all.
I found my kitchen to acutally be better for vocals with out doing anything to treat it, I know, I know, how professional is that, it's not, but hey if in the end it sounds good and people like it....what can you say....DiVinci or Granda Moses it's all art, well maybe not, but if it makes a buck

I know it's going to be tough to get a great sound out of it, but I would be okay with good sound. What about a combination of absorption and diffusion? I've seen other solutions like the Relexion Filter, but have never tried something like that. Anyone found a good solution for a closet booth?

    Thanks

No diffusers. It's useless, actually that could make things worst in such area. For small place like the closet you need absorption, absorption and absorption. On all walls, ceiling and corners. Wrapped OC703 or similar, and some acoustic foam will do the job for recording foley, narration and similar. You need the door of course.

Thanks. I'm not a big fan of gluing foam to the wall. If I was to attach it to a board for hanging, what kind of surface do you suggest for attaching it to? Plywood? I will look into the 703 option as well. I know some companies make them like GIK and Real Traps.
