    Default Room treatment

I have a large room that I have been recording in made of mostly cement blocks and has a metal pull up door. My basic idea was to cover the door with installation just so there wasn't a metallic bounce.
But for the cement I was actually thinking of building rectangles or boxes made of 2x4's with cloth or absorbant materials on them. This way they can be different materials and shapes without completely sucking all the sound out of the room.
If you have any recommendations please provide them (budget, of course, is the concern)
    Thanks

This would be better posted in the Acoustics and Design forum.

My best advice is to read my Acoustics FAQ:

    http://www.ethanwiner.com/acoustics.html

It explains all of this in great detail.
