You will have to give us a bit more to go on than just "hissing feedback". Do you mean "s" sounds are exaggerated or come through when you don't want them to?
What type of microphone are you using?
hi
im having problems with hissing feedback on recorded vocals does anyone know what the problem could be im using a zoom R16.

hi
the mic im using is a se1000a and it is not the "s" that is exaggerated its the problem of low humming/hissing throughout the vocal. if there is a pause in the vocals u can hear it more clearly. i hope this is enough information.
That's not called feedback, it's called noise. Hiss and hum are classic examples of noise. Do you have any gear connected other than the mic and recorder?
hi im using a laptop and the zoom plugs in via usb and into the zoom i have 2 monitors a mic and headphones plugged in thats all nothing else but if you go online and type in zoom r16 into google it will bring it up and you will get more of an idea what it is but please help me with this problem.
How far away from the mic are you singing? The R16 can be quite noisy when you have to turn the channel gain up to more than about 3/4 way. What positions do you have the controls set in? What do you get if you use just the mic with all the other R16 channels turned fully down?
