I did this little shootout the other day to see which one I liked better on my vocal. To me, it's not so clear cut. There are things I like about both of them. There is one I'm leaning toward, but I would really appreciate some input from anyone. Both were recorded on the same take, and aside from an 80hz high pass filter, there is absolutely no eq on either.

I have AT3035 with "brick" preamp. Record vocals only! So I'm wondering is it worth it to make a jump from AT3035 to AT4033? I mean will it have that much difference?

Hi i heard from someone if i got a tube preamp for my AT4033CL it would make a world of a difference. I got the mic for $200 so I'm not looking at spending a lot. Im running the mic into an Alesis firewire Multimix, so I'm sure anything will be better. This mic will be used generally for vocals

I recently purchased from Ebay the AT4033a mic. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this mic and the best to capture vocals with it?

AT4033 compared to ADK Hamburg/Vienna

After some research, 4033 seems to be the 57 of condenser mics.

while were at it can we discuss the sp b1 compared to the 4033 and the adks mentioned.

I found 6 of them each for 199$ in ebay,would you trust them,are they reliable?
would you buy it.

I was advised by quite a few of you to purchase one of these two mics to replace my Oktava MK319 as a vocal mic.

Since the microphone will be my "go to" for both male and female vocals for a while. which would be a better purchase and why?

I'm unfamiliar with both so your input would be great!

What cables should i get for best performance w/ AT 4033 and e-Mu 1820?

What's the difference between the two mics? Which do you recommend for male vocals? Or should I just hold out till the HM-1s are back in stock?
