$2000 budget for basically for mics and etc

Forums

Alright so I am pretty tired with these CADs I bought for drums a while back and I was thinking about upgrading my drum mics.

I own a firepod or studio whatever it has 8 inputs and I am going to buy a second one. I use Cubase to mix.

I read up all about these preamps and EQs and a bunch of other stuff and maybe I should try this stuff out perhaps?

Done some research and working on a portable, budget studio

Hey guys -

I spend a lot of time lurking these forums. Our band has amassed some equipment that we do demos on, and I think they come out pretty decently. What we use right now is:

- MacBook Pro, GarageBand, GuitarRig and Drumagog (cheap version)
- Firepod
- MXL 992
- Audix Fusion drum mic pack
- Sennheiser HD280s (yes, a headphone mix).

Monitors – M-Audio B5xa or KRK Rokit RP5 or ?
Interface – Mbox Mini or Edirol UA-25 or ?

Mastering Analog Processor Budget: $12k

I'm gonna be trading in some old equipment and getting all new stuff for analog mastering (comp, eq, limiting).

Will be using my same Bowers and Wilkens 805s, B&W Sub, and Bryston Amp for monitoring.

So, if you had $12k budget constraint for analog mastering comps, eq and limiting, what would you get?
