I have some mastering clients that want to prolong the mastering at my expense long after the sessions are done and paid for.

Hey guys, here is a question for all you M.E.'s out there. I just had one of my clients CD's mastered at one of the most reputable places in town. I've used this company several times before BUT this time instead of using the main ME we used another guy that works there now. (he of course was highly recomended) He did a great job at mastering but perhaps too good?

well hi guys here's a new topic regarding clients...well wht do you guys think that you prefer more money from the client and less quality from your side...cuz obviously when u wish to have much money you try to find and work with people who don't ask so many things regarding the work you have done for them...they normally compromise with wht u have done cuz they themselves don't believe in qu

so dig this. i've got my small studio in my house. i'm starting to record people and having a great time. my first band that i record is this high school rock band.

What has been your biggest problem with clients lately?

I just want to know if I am getting all the clients with problems or if others are to.

I have been working witha rock band for a while now. These guys are way above par as for a players. The tunes are great. Its all great I think. So, the problem is this. They are convinced that you have to add like 12 db shelves to low end on all the drum channels and bass channels. And they think you have to add 15 db of hi end to all channels.

:) Hello! If you have regular clients, does their work get streamlined somewhat?

You know their sound, common EQ corrections, balances. If that is true, is it a good idea, once you have found an ME you like, to continue your business with them?

Sort of like the family doctor, or lawyer.
