Should I switch my AD'DA converters ?
Forums
I own 2 Aardvark Q10's which I use on my Dell computer. They have their own A/D converters rated at 24 bits 96khz. I keep reading the great raves the Apogee system )like the Rosetta) keep getting from everyone. They have the same sampling rate as the Q10, but an Apogee system cost like 3 tiems the price of the Aardvark Q10. Any of you have any suggestions ? should I keep my Q10's ?

Crane Song HEDD converters
Forums
Hello, could anyone please give me their thoughts on the quality of the Crane Song HEDD converters? How do they compare to, say, Digidesign's 192 converters or Apogee converters?
Thanks

LynxTwo converters
Forums
I'm not sure if this should go in this forum or the Home Recording Forum.
I'm currently using a Delta 44 and am considering the LynxTwo "A" card.
Anyone with experience, thoughts or comments on these?
Thanks.

Converters for Synths
Forums
Hi all,
I'm a musician who is growing into the recording stuff, so I would like to ask for your advice on ADC .
Currently I use a Yamaha 02R, but I'm running out of channels and the ADDA extension card gives me level problems all the time : no synth seems to get more than -12 dB out of this card, so I'm pretty much limited to the 24 input channels with gain.

Connecting desk with external converters
Forums
I presently have a 2 in/ 2 out sound card from emagic and I am looking around for an upgrade. I need an 8 in 8 out card lwith an external AD/DA converter ike the MOTU mk2/3 or the Aardvarkq10 etc etc. - the reason being, I'd like to record drums with a track per mic. (as you can imagine, trying to record drums on just two tracks is hard work)

More direct path then Mic Pre->Mixer->AD converters ?
Forums
I am sure we would all agree that the ideal signal path would be direct from Mic Pre to line in of the soundcard when recording to a DAW.
However I still need to monitor the Mic Pre source, so what I do like many others I suppose, is to go direct to my line in on my small mixer and take a direct line out of that to the soundcard.

Apogeeconverters
Forums
Hey all,
Currently running RME ad's, i have checked out the Apogeestuff and i have almost made up my mind to get something along the lines of their PSX100, was wondering what most people in the USA are using as industry standard.
I have heard Apogeestuff, sounds great to me.
But thats just my ears!
Cheers,
Sammyg
