Setting up DAW home recording system, need help!
Forums
Hello,
I am trying to set up a home studio and have some questions. Like many novices, I went into Guitar Center with a little bit of knowledge and made purchases based on their suggestions and my budget. Now, I am trying to figure out if I really have the equipment I need for my purposes and if I need to buy a new computer, etc.
Home Recording Set-up help
Forums
Hi everyone.
I want to create a set-up for as little as possible with professional results... Am I asking too much? Just kidding. Sort of.
Ok, all I have at the moment is a newer Macbook Pro, Logic Express, a SM57, Mackie 1202 (4 pres), and a lot of instruments.

Is Pro Tools suitable for home recording?
Forums
Hi all i'm looking to upgrade my home recording studio. I currently use a Boss Br900CD but i find using it to its full abilities it still sounds amateurish and the programmed drums are too monotonous. Is pro tools good? I have a windows xp so i can only use up to edition 7. What hardware do i need to get for pro tools 7 and what price am i looking at. Also is pro tools an industry standard?.

studio vs home recording (for my somewhat interesting needs
Forums
hey guys thanks so much for all the tech help but I wanted to look at my music career from another standpoint.
I am 19 soon off to berklee college of music, and write and perform pretty much everything myself. This is what I enjoy to do, but with my latest album my biggest issue was dealing with my boss 864 multi track for the last time.
errors/pain/annoyance galore.
Lexicon Alpha Home Recording Studio
Forums
I recently purchased a Lexicon Alpha to do some home recording with. I've set it all up on my computer, checked everything out, read the manuals, gone to the website, EVERYTHING. I have it set up exactly the way it tells me to, although when I go to record, it doesn't record.
Anybody know what could be causing this?

Who would have guessed: my budget, upgraded Emachines crapped out on me. There's nothing like needing new gear when you're in between jobs. How I longed for a Mac, but my wallet longed for a budget Dell tower at 15% off. :? So, I got this:

Hello hello. I just came across this site and it looks pretty cool.
Anyway,
so my friend and I are moving out to Arizona in a few months to pursue our band, etc. We've checked out some studios online, and also some studios in our area, and obviously with great quality comes great prices.
