anyone know of a simple interface to get 8 channels of audio via toslink (ADAT) thru firewire or usb? we've been using a Yamaha 01v with an ADAT card for gigs and i'd love to be able to mult the mix to the 8 tracks of ADAT and record on my ibook. fwiw, i'd be using dp (or pt) on a mac.

Well... I'm very happy with my ANUS-DAW... and I've been using it mainly with software synths and software sampler... and audio of course.
Now it's time to involve all my real synths and drum machines. But my midi-interface ( MidiSport 2x2) is not enough, I need more in/outs.(4x4 or 8x8)

I am currently in the market for a digital mixing board that has a computer interface
the one that has my interest is the
Roland VM-7200. the reason I like this board
is it links to the computer through an R-bus

Ok, is this possible, in theory one would think it would be. I use Pro Tools for my digital audio editing, and Logic audio platnum for my MIDI,(Logic's midi is so much better than pro tools - imo)

I need some help I am about to upgrade my audio interface from a omni studio to ether a MOTU 828,a delta 1010 or a echo layla 24 but I'm not Shure whats the better one to go with I have an anus machine with 1 gig of mem running xp pro and logic plat 5 :confused:

I have a Toshiba 5005/504 pc/laptop w/ 1.1 gig, 512 ram. I'm planning on using it to master bands I record at my studio, and use the Wavelab 4.0 live monitoring for freq. analysis. (Coming out of my d8b's S/PDIF or AES) What soundcard/interface would you recommend? I'll need digital I/O and good a/d d/a's.

Hello all! I am a new member and have to say that this is such a great board! You all have put some great tips out here for amature audio guys like myself to use.

Any advice what midi interface works well with G4 Quicksilver 733 and system 9.2.1. and pro-tools mixplus system (well means whole day of work no crash! like on my desktop g3 - I loved it...)

Having problems with all my burners. I have a G3 with both SCSI and Firewire burners. I run both Cubase and PT as my main recording software. The strangest thing started happening the other day when I tried to burn a speech file. The final audio file burned to CD plays back a little slower than the previewed program track.

With a substantial investment in PT mixplus, plugins and various outboard, I am currently feeling reluctant to even consider the PTHD upgrade path.
