Laptop Audio - MIDI (playback) support

Hey,

This specific question is very loosely about "recording", I guess. I need to know what to look for in a laptop audio-wise to play with Reason. My current (general-use) laptop won't even play back MIDI sound to install Reason. I just want to be able to fool around with ideas on the laptop, then bring the projects to my desktop. Controller input isn't even necessary.

Adobe Aud 3 Giving me some playback issues with the Profire

rrr I'm having a Frustrating time with this. I can't seem to figure out whats going wrong. Adobe Audition will playback through the Profire2626 for a few seconds and then just cut out. Through the windows sound drivers playback works just fine. What's happening?

Record at 24bit - 48KHz = play back is sharper

Hello,

Does anyone know why this happens: e.g. I record a note (D) on my flute at 24bit - 48KHz, it plays back as the same note in Cubase 4 LE then when I mix the track down to 16bit - 44KHz and play the new .wav file in windows media player or VLC the sound is much sharper in pitch nearly a F.

Pro Tools on MAC - Not a playback volume

Another pro tools m-powered question. I have a MacBook with Pro Tools installed on it. But if i want to start a new project it says that my HD is not a valid playback or record volume. I checked Digidesign website and my HD was formated the way it should be Extended (Journaled). It will not allow me to set my volume on Record or Playback in the Workspace menu either.

Can't get cakewalk Sonar le to playback on Lexicon omega.

I recently set up my studio again and lost Cubase le that came with my omega interface. A buddy of mine got a mac so he had a brand new copy of cakewalk Sonar le. I installed it but a message about the drivers not being compatible or being used by another program popped up. I still haven't figured out how to set it up right. Anyone got any ideas?
